A woman in her 60s was taken to hospital after being hit by a car last night


Police and ambulance crews were called to Jail Lane just after 11am

An overturned car caused a road in Biggin Hill to be shut, and a woman in her seventies to be hospitalised this morning.

The crash on Jail Lane meant the road was closed for over an hour before reopening at around 12.30pm.

A London Ambulance spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.11am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car on Jail Lane in Biggin Hill.

“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene.

“We treated a woman reported to be in her seventies.

“She was taken as a priority to Princess Royal hospital, Farnborough.”

A Met Police spokesperson confirmed officers were also on the scene just after 11am to reports of an overturned vehicle.
