A WOMAN was injured after a thug threw a glass bottle onboard a peak hour train.
The 33-year-old woman was cut in the face by smashed glass after a man threw a bottle at another passenger and missed.
British Transport Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident on Monday on the 4.08pm Orpington to Victoria train.
The man boarded the train at Penge East and started having an argument with another passenger and he lobbed a glass bottle at him.
Detective Inspector Paul Langley said: "The bottle missed the intended victim and smashed. Some glass then struck a 33-year-old woman in the face.
"The woman suffered a minor cut under her eye and was taken to hospital for treatment, and was later released."
The man, who was black and 5ft 5ins to 5ft 5ins tall, left the train at Herne Hill.
He was wearing dark jeans, a light coloured shirt and jacket and a white baseball cap.
