Woman charged over death of Michael Buckley after he was struck by shopping trolley

A Bromley woman has been charged with the manslaughter of 60-year-old Michael Buckley, who died after being struck by a shopping trolley at The Glades Shopping Centre in December 2012.

Melanie Buck, 32, of Chelford Road, was charged on February 19 last year and will appear on bail at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 6.

Mr Buckley, from Forest Hill, broke his hip and wrist during the incident on December 22.

He was taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital, in Farnborough Common, where he remained until his death on March 5.
