West Wickham Food Market to return later this month

West Wickham’s Food Market will re-launch on October 20, thanks to a joint effort from local chilli sauce and chutney maker, The Chilli Pig, and Bromley Council.
The new market will be based on the previous site, behind Carpet Right on West Wickham High Street, and will open on the first and third Sunday of each month from 10am to 2pm.
Many stallholders will be returning from the original market, including Batch Farm Cheesemakers, Hen’s Kitchen gluten free cakes, and The Chilli Pig.
New stalls include The Crumbery, selling home made chocolates, as well as Gabor’s Kitchen - selling hot steak sandwiches.
The previous market closed in July, and Chris Guthrie, of The Chilli Pig, says many customers were left “disappointed”.
He said: “We have been involved with many markets since launching The Chilli Pig in 2011 and know keeping the market local, with local, quality produce at affordable prices is the key to success.
“The response from local producers and re-sellers has been overwhelming, we have 15 stalls signed up and are getting enquiries daily. We intend to have a guest stall slot at each market, to create interest for customers, as well as regular stallholders.”
