West Wickham crash leaves man in critical condition

A 24-year-old man suffered life threatening injuries when his car overturned after hitting a tree in West Wickham yesterday (Sunday).

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, attended the scene in South Eden Park Road at around 1.20pm after the Vauxhall Vectra left the road.

The driver, who had been travelling towards Beckenham, was treated for head injuries and taken to King’s College Hospital, in Camberwell, as a priority.

His condition remains critical in the hopsital’s intensive care unit.
