Valentine & Turner Family Funeral Home will be representing the south east

Two families who run an Orpington funeral home are dreaming of Wembley success this summer.

Valentine & Turner Family Funeral Home has been chosen to represent the south east at the National Family Business Awards, with the grand final set to take place at Wembley Stadium on July 15.

The awards were founded in 2009 to recognise and celebrate the achievements of Britain and Ireland’s family-owned businesses.

Amalia Brightley-Gillott, awards director said: “Every year we are blown away by the variety and calibre of family businesses who enter the awards. Few people realise that every time they visit their local hairdresser, stay in a boutique hotel, buy a bottle of wine, have a necklace made or buy cheese in the supermarket that they are in fact supporting passionate, dedicated families who have set up in business together.”

Gary Valentine-Fuller, managing director of Valentine & Turner Family Funeral Home added: “We are over the moon to be shortlisted as finalists and we are so incredibly proud to represent the south east at the national awards. Since Wayne Turner and myself founded the business two years ago we have been overwhelmed by peoples ongoing love and support. We’re really proud of our growing reputation and are excited to be part of The National Family Business Awards along with our fellow family businesses from the rest of the country.”
