England vice-captain Joe Root is among those to feature in the advert which aired during coverage of the Test series in South Africa
The County Ground in Beckenham was the location for the launch of a new advertising campaign.
The advert aired during TV coverage of England’s Test series in South Africa, and features among others vice-captain Joe Root.
The world number two Test batsman joined cricketers from Old Wilsonians and HSBC Cricket Clubs to shoot a series of idents for Vitality Health and Life Insurance that are appearing on Sky Sports’ live cricket coverage this winter.
Kenny Maxwell, Jonathan Rodda, Lawrence Roots and Matt Abbett and the company’s trademark dachshund dog filmed a series of shorts playing at the ground.
More than 25 crew members joined the cricketers, Root and his manager, former England player Neil Fairbrother and groundsman Paul Whittaker even made a cameo appearance.
The Ashes and County Championship winner flew by private helicopter from Yorkshire for the six-hour shoot and signed shirts and some items for the cricketers which were auctioned to raise funds for Bromley District Cricket’s chosen charity PAPYRUS.
