ORGANISERS of a bi-annual family walk are recruiting volunteers to take part in the event.
The Fun Walk on May 9, around Keston, will take place in aid of Sydenham-based St Christopher's Hospice, which gives care to people in Bromley.
Chief executive of St Christopher's, Barbara Monroe, said: "We always look forward to the fun walk as it provides a wonderful opportunity to bring the community together.
"This year we hope to raise £200,000 to support our new project in local care homes to extend our care and improve the quality of life of their residents as they approach the end of their lives."
There are three, five, eight and 11-mile walks and trophies will be awarded to the team that raises the most sponsorship.
The youngest and oldest walkers will receive special awards and there will be a special 'endeavour prize' for outstanding effort, as well as an award for the walker wearing the best fancy dress.
Anyone over 18 can register on line at www.stchristophers.org.uk/funwalk those wishing to take part under 18 can download an entry form from the website or call the Fun Walk hotline on 020 8768 4577.
