People in Bromley will be hitting the polling stations today (Thursday) to vote for their preferred Mayoral and London Assembly candidates in the respective elections.

Incumbent Boris Johnson and Labour’s former Mayor Ken Livingstone are expected to battle it out for the right to run London, while residents of the borough have a choice of six candidates for the London Assembly seat for Bexley and Bromley.

The other mayoral candidates are Siobhan Benita, ( Independent), Carlos Cortiglia, (BNP), Jenny Jones (Green), Brian Paddick (Lib Dem) and Lawrence Webb (UKIP).

Conservative James Cleverly is the current representative, and he faces competition from: Josie Channer (Labour), David Coburn (UK Independence Party/Fresh Choice for London), Jonathon Rooks (Green Party), Donna Treanor (British National Party), Sam Dunning Webber (Lib Dem).
