CHISLEHURST Rotary Club s bonfire and fireworks bonanza is due to kick off at Chislehurst Recreation Ground, via Walden Road
CHISLEHURST Rotary Club's bonfire and fireworks bonanza is due to kick off at Chislehurst Recreation Ground, via Walden Road or Empress Drive, next Saturday.
Gates open at 6pm and the bonfire is due to be lit at 7pm with the fireworks display to follow half an hour later.
Chislehurst Rotary Club member Tony Wells said: "This is the best firework show in the area and has a well-deserved local reputation for being a fun event. We have been lucky with the weather in previous years and hope to be so again.
"Because the local Rotarians do all the organisation as volunteers, every penny of profit goes to a range of deserving charities here and abroad. In a good year that means around £10,000 or more is distributed to charities."
Entrances to the recreation ground are in Empress Drive, behind Sainsburys, and in Walden Road.
Tickets can be bought on the gate and cost £3 for children and £6 for adults.
