Train services between Anerley and New Cross Gate have returned to normal after a 30cm hole opened beneath a train track on Thursday.

The hole was spotted under the tracks at Forest Hill, for the second time in a month.

Commuters faced major disruption throughout the day, when some lines heading towards London Bridge closed.

Network Rail and Southern both apologised for the disruption.
