Update: Operation Hawk continues to tackle drug crimes across Bromley

Arrests continue to be made across Bromley today (Thursday) as the capital’s police crackdown on drug crimes.

As part of the London wide Operation Hawk officers had made 150 arrests by noon and seized close to 1,900 cannabis plants across the capital.

More than 1,500 officers were deployed for the hard hitting day that has seen the police take to Twitter to update Bromley residents of their arrests.

In the Beckenham area earlier today @BromleyMPS tweeted: “One arrest in #Beckenham on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs, cannabis and handling stolen goods #OpHawk”

The account also later reported an additional four arrests across the borough: “Four more arrests after further raids in #Petts Wood, #Mottingham and #StMaryCray today as part of ongoing major drugs crackdown #OpHawk”
