A Beckenham man has been remanded in custody after 16-year-old Daniel Spargo-Mabbs died on Monday due to a suspected ecstasy overdose while at an illegal rave.

Ryan Kirk, 20, of Puffin Close, is one of two men charged with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

The other man, Nicqueel Pitrora, 18, of London Road, Croydon, was also charged with possession of cannabis.

The pair appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court today, and will next appear at Isleworth Crown Court on February 5.

A third man, 19, has been bailed until March pending further investigation, police said.

Daniel, who was in the first year of studying for his A Levels, died following the party at an industrial site on Pump Lane, Silverdale Road, on Friday night.

Scotland Yard said he died “after a suspected drugs overdose”, adding that the “illegal rave” was closed down and no arrests were made.
