UPDATE: 13-year-old pleads guilty to starting bus fire

A 13-year-old boy from Bromley has pleaded guilty to torching a bus in Lewisham.

The teenager appeared at Bromley Youth Court today, (Thursday March 31) accused of arson with intent to endanger life.

Police were called on Friday March 25 to reports of a fire believed to have started on the top deck of a route 208 bus.

Officers attended the scene together with London Fire Brigade.

Appearing in court today, the teenager pleaded guilty to the offence.

He was remanded in custody for sentencing, a date will be confirmed in April.
