A specialist racing bike worth more than £4,000 was stolen during a Crystal Palace burglary last month.

Officers were called to Cadence cycle shop, in Anerley Hill, at around 1.50am on October 25 to reports that someone had broken into the store.

The suspect made off with a specialist bike and was seen wheeling the unique black Scapin Hysak along Church Road.

Fitted with Fulcrum Quattro wheels, the bike has a carbon fibre frame with the word ‘Scapin’ on the downtube. It also has a maroon fitting under the saddle.

Anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or may have been offered the bike to buy, should call the Burglary Squad on 020 8284 9966. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
