Unicorn Primary School PTA is holding a royal garden party on Sunday, May 20, to celebrate the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Included at the event will be a live music band, a BBQ, bouncy castle, drinks, stall holders, face painting, games and a bake-off event.

Samantha Brown, chairwoman of the school’s PTA, said: “There will be winners for the best British themed cake and the best show-stopping cake.

“We are going to have lots of traditional games like a coconut shy and a tombola - all the staff are donating a bottle of drink and somebody will be winning the whole lot.”

Crews from Beckenham Fire Station will also be attending the event, where all money will go towards the school’s playground project.

Anyone is welcome to attend the garden party, which will take place from 12-3pm at the school in Cresswell Drive, Beckenham.

Entry is just £1 and free for children.
