A TOWN twinning association is hosting a lecture about the current state of Germany's credit crunch.
The Bromley Town Twinning Association will be holding the event next Wednesday at 7.30pm at the United Reformed Church in Widmore Road, Bromley.
The speaker will be Peter Ritzer, a member of Chatham House and an expert on current German affairs.
Under the title Germany and the Credit Crunch he will review all aspects of its economic and political scene and will discuss the changes which have taken place in country in the 20 years since the fall of the Berlin wall.
Information on Bromley council's twinning with the Rhineland town in Germany will be available at the lecture. There is no admission charge but donations will be requested. Light refreshments will be served.
In a separate event, the ladies choir from Bromley's German twin town will be in joint concert with the Newstead singers.
The concert is part of a continuing programme of exchange events with Bromley's twin town of Neuwied and will include a joint performance of choral music for female voices, on October 23 at 8pm, at Christ Church United Reformed Church in Willett Way, Petts Wood.
