THREE people appeared in court charged with money laundering following a major investigation which involved officers from Miami and Jamaica.

Burnett Morris, 47, of Reigate Road, Bromley, his wife Paulette Morris, 47 years, of Ballamore Road, Bromley, and Gerard Dean Wright, 26, of Lamerock Road, Bromley, appeared at West London Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

They were all bailed until November 17 for committal to crown court. They were arrested during raids in London and Cambridge on May 14 this year following a large-scale investigation into a major money laundering network.

Five others, two women and three men, who were arrested in connection with this investigation, have been bailed until a date in December, pending further inquiries.

The major operation codenamed Dasher was the culmination of an investigation into a criminal network led by detectives from the Met's Operation Trident, working with officers in Jamaica and Miami.
