RMT union members will be on strike on Tuesday and Wednesday

A series of strikes by rail workers at Southern is set to play havoc on commuters in the south east this week.

Services across Kent and the south east will be affected by the strikes by members of the RMT union.

No routes heading to Tonbridge or Ashford International will be running during the strikes, which are running on Tuesday and Wednesday.

While the only services cancelled are Southern-provided, Southeastern has warned commuters that its service will be affected.

Trains and stations are expected to be busier than normal, and the rail provider is asking commuters to leave more time than normal for their journey.

In Bromley, a reduced service will be running from Anerley to London Bridge, while services from Beckenham Junction towards Dulwich will be running as normal.
