THE Conservatives have held Orpington.
THE Conservatives have held Orpington
Joseph Johnson, the Conservative Party candidate received 29,200 votes, a 59.7 per cent share of the vote.
David McBride, Liberal Democrats, received 12,000 and Stephen Morgan, Labour, received 4,400.
He said: "Orpington is the epicentre of a previous Lib Dem revival, it has now given a resounding endorsement of the conservative programme.
"I will do this to the best of my ability."
Other candidate results: Mick Greenhough, UKIP 1,360, Tess Culnane, BNP, 1, 241, Tamara Galloway, Green, 511, and Chris Snape, English Democrats, 199.
