A FESTIVAL that began in its founder's back garden has secured a top rock act to headline its 2010 event.
Geordie rockers the Futureheads will top the bill at Leefest 2010, which takes place at Higham's Hill Farm, Bromley, on August 14, while dance act Starsmith, who went to Langly Park School, Beckenham, will lead the dance tent.
Leefest was started five years ago by Lee Denny, 22, when his parents went away on holiday.
It has since enjoyed great success and scooped the Best Grassroots Festival Award at the 2009 UK Festivals Awards last September.
Mr Denny was delighted at securing such a high profile headline act for this year's party.
He said: "We're overwhelmed to have a band as big as the Futureheads topping the bill."
Leefest is a not-for-profit organisation that raises money for the charity Kids Company.
The Festival will host 20 acts across two stages and a dance tent.
