Times staff in exam success

KENTISH Times editorial staff are celebrating after four journalists passed their senior qualifications. Bromley Times reporter Kate Nelson passed her NCE examinations with the National Council for the training of Journalists and Sports Editor Joe Shackl

KENTISH Times editorial staff are celebrating after four journalists passed their senior qualifications.

Bromley Times reporter Kate Nelson passed her NCE examinations with the National Council for the training of Journalists and Sports Editor Joe Shackley also passed the tough exams which tests journalists proficiency at interview technique, accurate note-taking, law and news values.

Bexley Times reporter Marina Soteriou and reporter/sub editor Jules Cooper were also successful in the examinations.

Group Editor Melody Foreman said: "I am proud of them all. Passing the NCE is a great and important step forward for any journalist committed to serving the community and its favourite local newspapers with excellence.
