A YOB was jailed after police found two knives and a knuckleduster in his vehicle following a dangerous car chase.

Police became suspicious on August 14 last year when they saw Billy Coleman, 23, of The Mead, New Ash Green, Longfield, driving recklessly at a roundabout junction with Crown Lane, Bromley Common.

Police followed him and after witnessing several near crashes began to chase him but he refused to stop. Eventually he was stopped and searched because police believed he had been smoking cannabis.

In the glovebox a knuckle duster and cut-throat razor were found and a lock knife was in the front driver's door pocket. Another lock knife was found in his right trouser pocket. He was sentenced to six months in jail for each of the three bladed weapon charges to run concurrently, four months imprisonment for possession of the knuckle duster, to run concurrently, and five penalty points on his driving licence.
