A 35-year-old man has been jailed after a violent assault at a nightclub in Masons Hill which left a man with serious head injuries and a broken jaw.

The victim, 40, was taken to a south London hospital in a critical condition and received treatment for a week.

Peter Reeves, of Sheerness, Kent, was jailed for six years and nine months at Croydon Crown Court on March 3, after pleading guilty to causing GBH with intent.

The attack happened outside the Bedrock Club at 1.39am in September last year.
