An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire which broke out in a terraced Bromley home.

The fire started in the early hours of Wednesday morning, with crews from Bromley, Beckenham and Lewisham fire stations called to the scene at 12.26am.

Three people managed to escape the blaze before firefighters could get to the scene of the blaze in Keedonwood Road.

A spokesperson from London Fire Brigade said: “Part of the ground floor of the mid-terraced house was damaged by fire.

“Three people left the property before the arrival of the Brigade and were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews.”

Four fire engines were sent to the scene, and around 20 firefighters tackled the blaze before they managed to bring it under control just after 1.20am.
