The group shot to fame in 2007 after they reached the semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent and a cover of The Who classic My Generation which hit the heights of number 26 in the charts.

Their latest appearance was part of a recording session for a new YouTube channel called Talent In Focus which aims to shine a light on burgeoning original musical talents.

The evening was attended by DJ Steve Anthony from Radio Caroline which is celebrating 50 years since becoming the UK’s first pirate radio station.

DJ Steve said: “I thoroughly enjoyed meeting all of the musicians and I am delighted to have been involved in the making of this initial series of videos.”

The Zimmers also visited the Saxon Centre care home and entertained staff and clients.

Band member Grace Cook, 90, said: “I had a terrific time. I loved meeting Steve Anthony.

“The Saxon Centre were really nice to us when we performed there earlier in the day as well and we found one of the ladies there could really sing!”

The YouTube channel is due to launch on March 20 with the footage from the evening at Temple Church scheduled to be available a fortnight later from April 3.
