A SEX tourist snared by the freckles on his hand in a sickening child porn image is facing jail today.
Dean Hardy, 49, of Charterhouse Road, Orpington, took photographs of himself molesting young girls on a trip to Thailand to swap with his perverted friends.
He was sentenced today at Southwark Crown Court.
Police found the snap of Hardy's hand by chance when they raided his home after he downloaded child porn from the internet.
An expert studied the image and confirmed it was the furniture dealer's limb.
Confronted with the powerful evidence, the paedophile confessed to two counts of indecent assault on girls under the age of 14 and a string of child porn charges.
Hardy, who runs a business importing Far Eastern furniture, was first investigated by the Met's Paedophile Unit when he began downloading abuse pictures from the internet. His home was raided on September 9, 2007, and police seized a computer and two camera memory cards.
Prosecutor Peter Zinner said: "On the computer they found five indecent photographs of children. The memory cards were both analysed and on these there were some effectively home-made or home-taken indecent images of children."
The girls in the shots were all aged under 10 and they all appeared to be from South East Asia. The pervert travelled to Thailand in December 2002 and again in March 2004. Two of the 63 snaps found showed girls being touched by an adult hand.
Police took a picture of the paedophile's hands and consulted a forensic anthropologist who was 'in no doubt' that it was Hardy.
Other shots showed a girl being raped by another man and Hardy admitted taking the pictures.
Mr Zinner added: "In the Crown's submission he is a sex tourist, to use a colloquial phrase, who travels abroad to commit these types of offences."
Hardy admitted two counts of indecent assault, four counts of taking indecent photos of children and one of possession such images.
