Both SGN and Thames Water have works to carry out
As part of a new development, both SGN and Thames Water will be working on Westerham Road, Keston, close to the junction with Fishponds Road starting on April 18.
SGN will be completing their gas connection works to the site until April 21 using temporary traffic lights to control traffic.
Thames Water will then complete their water connection works for the site from April 24 until April 25.
These works were planned last month but were cancelled due to the emergency gas escape work in Croydon Road.
Unfortunately, on this occasion SGN and Thames Water cannot work at the same time as work to their pipes are on opposite sides of the road to one another, meaning that traffic would not be able to pass through if they both worked on site at the same time.
Both utility companies will be manually operating their lights during peak times to minimise delays as much as possible.
These works are planned consecutively prior to the council’s resurfacing work that will take place shortly, which will then complete the recent resurfacing work in Westerham Road.
