16-year-old girl re-arrested on suspicion of murder

THE teenager stabbed to death in Sydenham yesterday has been named.

Nathan Murray, 18, from Sydenham, was stabbed in the High Street just after 12.05pm.

And the 16-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent has been re-arrested today on suspicion of murder.

Mr Murray was taken to a south London hospital after the stabbing, but died of his injuries at 1.25am today.

The girl remains in custody at a south London police station.

Mr Murray’s body has still to be formally identified, although he has been officially named by police.
