A teenager has died after suffering severe head injuries in a moped crash on Sunday in Shortlands, Bromley.

The 17-year-old, named locally as Jack Bowker, collided with the rear of a parked car in Warren Avenue shortly before 3pm.

He was treated by air ambulance crews at the scene before being taken to King’s College Hospital, in Denmark Hill, where he died on Monday night.

Jack is believed to be a former pupil at Ravensbourne School, in Hayes Lane, Bromley.

His friends have taken to Twitter to pay tribute to the teen who had a “hilarious sense of humour”.

@MollyEverett said: “You taught me and everyone else some of the most valuable lessons in life. You will be truly missed. RIP Jack Bowker”.

@AyseSings added: “RIP Jack Bowker will never forget you and your hilarious sense of humour :(“
