Teenager dies in Bromley, another teen arrested

A teenager has died after being found unconscious in a Bromley house.

Police were called at 9.30am yesterday morning where the 17-year-old, named locally as George Verrico, was found in Ferndale.

The London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance attended and he was taken to an east London hospital but he died later that day.

Police believe he suffered a head injury as a result of an altercation around Blenheim Road in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody in a south London police station.

Next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem examination will be scheduled.

Officers from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating.
