Police appeal for help in hunt for suspect

Police officers are appealing for information following a report of sexual assault on a teenager on bus in Bromley.

On Monday, January 26, at about 4.10pm, a 13-year-old girl was travelling on a route 208 bus between Bromley Town Hall and Ashgrove Road, Bromley, and was inappropriately touched by a man.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, approximately 25-years-old and of medium build. He was wearing a black padded gilet over a blue long sleeve top, black beanie style hat with large white logo and grey/white trousers.

Police officers are releasing a CCTV image and ask anyone with information to contact Detective Constable Alastair Middleton leading the investigation on 07909 877 121 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 170072.

A police spokesman added: “Unwanted sexual behaviour on the transport network is not tolerated and all sexual offences are taken very seriously.

“Always report incidents of this nature to the police. If you have any information please dial 101, but in an emergency always dial 999 immediately.”
