A local horticulture charity is fundraising by hosting a summer festival including a range of free workshops.

Sydenham Garden charity’s annual summer festival in its community market garden will take place again on August 19.

There will be live music from local bands, and workshops including crafts, children’s activities - den building, and creating clay faces, bubbles and nature crowns - garden sustainability, bee keeping, hula hooping, and pizza spinning.

Most workshops are free, and those that are charged are prices at £5 or under. There is a donated entrance fee on the door, and all money raised goes to Sydenham Garden which supports people recovering from mental and physical illnesses in Lewisham and surrounding boroughs.

The festival is being held at the site on De Ferne Road, Sydenham from 12pm-5pm.
