Supporters of the Freddie Farmer Foundation attended a drinks and canapés reception at 11 Downing Street.

10-year-old Freddie, who has cerebral palsy, attended the event with his family.

He presented Mr George Osborne MP with a letter of gratitude and thanked everyone in the room for their support.

Freddie’s mum, Deanne Farmer, said: “Freddie had a wonderful chat with the Chancellor and there was an unexpected visit from the Prime Minster David Cameron, who popped in for a chat and a photo with Freddie.

“It was an amazing experience and we will remember and cherish the memory of it for the rest of our lives.”
