YOUNG artists are busy working hard for a new exhibition to showcase their work from the past year.

Art students at Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School, Hurst Road, have been working for months towards the show entitled Edge.

It will exhibit the work of GCSE and A Level pupils in the recently built £3.3million Quentin Blake Building, opened by the artist himself.

Year 12 pupil, Ethan White, said; "It's like bringing a wondrous burst of life and colour into the school. It has brought out a brilliant community spirit in the department.''

Rachel Primarolo, also of Year 12, said: "After last year's success we are very much looking forward to the improved upcoming exhibition, especially seeing our work displayed. We have been involved in the development of the exhibition, so it means a great deal to view the final outcome."

The evening event takes place next Wednesday at the school's Curve Gallery, Hurst Road, Sidcup.
