FAMOUS figures from the football world have come together to tee-off at a charity golf day.

Former England star Teddy Sheringham joined Charlton player Grant Basey and television pundit Scott Minto for the event at Sundridge Park golf club, in Garden Road, Bromley, last Thursday.

The day was organised by ex-football player and manager Keith Peacock to raise money for charity Demelza, which runs children's hospices in Sittingbourne and in Wensley Close, Eltham.

Community fundraiser Terrie Kennor said: "This is the third year Keith has organised his golf day for Demelza and it was an amazing day and evening.

"Thank you to everyone who came along on the day to support Keith and to those who sponsored holes and donated prizes. Roll on next year."

Golfers sat down to a dinner in the evening, followed by a charity auction hosted by comedian Adger Brown.
