Staff from a McDonald’s restaurant helped to tackle litter in a clean up campaign.

Franchisee Bill Perera and staff from his McDonald’s restaurant on Orpington High Street joined a team of more than 30 people from Bromley Council, CD Waste and Orpington 1st in a litter picking challenge as part of the Mayor of London’s Capital Clean up campaign.

Bill said: “It was inspiring to see members of our team join forces to take action on litter that damages our environment. Unfortunately there are still a significant proportion of people who think it’s acceptable to drop litter, it’s everyone’s responsibility to dispose of litter responsibly and help protect the local environment.”

The team donned high visibility jackets and collected more than 20 bags of rubbish.
