Stabbings: Nine on trial

NINE men are due to face trial after a pub brawl in which five men were stabbed.

All nine appeared at Bromley Magistrates on July 7 after a fight at the Bird in Hand pub, Bickley, on the evening of May 26 this year.

Paul Morgan, 31, of Lions Close, Mottingham was charged with violent disorder and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon, a large kitchen knife. He was remanded in custody. Tyrone Seagar, 30, of Wellington Road, Bromley and Asad Ahmed, 27, of Harwood Avenue, Bromley were charged with violent disorder and remanded in custody.

Dean Bagnall, 43, of Faringdon Avenue, Bromley, Bernard King, 47, of Beblets Close, Orpington and Grant Debell, 31, of Nightingale Lane, Bromley, were all charged with violent disorder and released on bail.

Also facing the same charge of violent disorder are Andrew Owen, 28, of Southborough Lane, Bromley, Mark Ripley (also known as Mark Brown), 29, of Ashgrove Road, Bromley, and Christian Lordan, 32, of Shroffold Road, Downham who were all released on bail.

All will stand trial at Croydon Crown Court on August 4.
