FORMER soldiers are to benefit from a charity fundraiser hosted by a theatre.

Money from tickets sales for last night's performance of Adolf Hitler: My Part In His Downfall, at Bromley's Churchill Theatre, will go towards the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

The charity, which looks after veterans and their families, raised £40,205 this year in the borough, up 12 per cent on last year.

Each ticket sold for yesterday's Spike Milligan show contributed £5 to the Royal British Legion.
