Officers arrested the 27-year-old, from Sydenham, on July 18 but there was insufficient evidence to charge him and he has now been released.

The attacks on sheep are believed to have been ongoing between April and July this year around Tongs Farm, Botany Bay Lane, Chislehurst.

Two animals were found dead with clothing underneath them.

Penetration of or by an animal, known as bestiality, is illegal and carries a sentence of up to two years imprisonment.
