MORE witnesses have described seeing a UFO shooting across the borough's skies after last week's report in the Times.
Self-confessed sceptic Gary Carson, 52, of Haywood Road, Bromley, got in contact after reading about a couple, Myles Archer and his wife, who witnessed the same bright orange disc hover for a few minutes before whisking itself away over houses on August 22.
Company secretary Mr Carson has seen the UFO on two occasions, the first time was around three weeks ago and the second time was the night after the Archers, on August 23.
He said: "The first time I was walking my dog Belle at the end of the road at about 10pm.
"It didn't seem very big to me, I just thought it was like a Chinese lantern. It was bright orange and was kind of hovering. But then I watched it shoot off quickly and disappear behind the houses. Then I thought maybe it wasn't just a lantern because of the way it moved."
On the second occasion, the father-of-three had just dropped his daughter off at her friend's house and on the drive home he saw the unexplained disc over Southborough Road.
He said: "I was driving back when I saw it again. I thought, 'oh God what is it?' and decided to tell my wife Valerie this time.
"She didn't think too much of it until she read about it in the paper and phoned me up to tell me. Then it made her hair stand on end.
"I'm pleased someone else has seen it because these things are quite embarrassing and you don't want to tell people in case they think you are mad.
"I wish I had a camera so I could have got a clear picture of it. If I see it again I'll definitely try and get a shot of it. It was strange to see it again within the space of two weeks.
"My 16-year-old daughter wasn't bothered, she doesn't believe in things like this but I'm not sure. All these sightings can't be nothing- they can't all be by people who are off their heads.
"I used to be sceptical about UFOs but this has made me rethink. There could be something out there but who knows?"
A spokesperson for Bromley police said nobody had contacted them to report seeing UFOs recently.
