The search is on for one resident to switch on the town’s Christmas lights next month.

Your Bromley – the business improvement district for Bromley town centre – The Glades Shopping Centre and The Churchill Theatre have teamed up to find and thank the unsung heroes of Bromley. The eventual winner will have the honour of turning on the lights and winning Glades shopping vouchers, theatre tickets and a donation to the charity of their choice.

Nominations need to be submitted by October 31.

Frances Forrest, manager of Your Bromley, said: “Last year’s local hero, Colin Whitehead, really made a difference to the residents of Bromley with his cheerful approach to keeping the streets clean.

“Bromley has a wonderful community and we’re sure we will find someone just as deserving this year!”
