YOUNG employees and apprentices are encouraged to enter our prestigious Thames Gateway Business Awards.

Closing date is at the end of the month so time is running out to enter the exclusive Archant - publishers of the Bromley Times - awards.

With experts expecting the number of unemployed under-25s to hit a million, we want to celebrate young workers who excel in the workplace. Two categories in this year's awards include Apprentice of the Year, and Outstanding Young Person of the Year, with the winners crowned at an awards ceremony in November.

If you feel you have an apprentice who deserves to win an award, or an employee aged between 16 and 25 who could be Outstanding Young Person of the Year, why not nominate them now? You could help them win not only the accolade, but £6,700 of advertising and marketing support for your company

The vital contribution apprentices make to the economy has already been marked this year by the launch of the National Apprenticeship Service.
