A HOLOCAUST survivor is due to appear at a school today to tell youngsters about his experiences.
Martin Bennett will talk to sixth form students at Ravens Wood School, Oakley Road, Bromley, and the pupils will get to ask him questions afterwards.
Head of Sixth Form, Lauraine Wells, said: "It's a privilege for us to welcome Mr Bennett to our school.
"His testimony will remain a powerful reminder of the horrors so many experienced.
"We hope that by hearing his testimony, it will encourage our students to learn from the lessons of the Holocaust and make a positive difference in their own lives."
The visit was set up by the Holocaust Educational Trust (HET) which puts schools in touch with survivors to enhance learning.
Chief Executive of HET, Karen Pollock, said: "There can be no better way than through the first-hand testimony of a survivor.
"Martin's story is one of tremendous courage during horrific circumstances.
"Each of us has a responsibility to ensure that we honour the memory of those whose lives were lost and take forward the lessons taught by those who survived."
