Riverside School, in St Paul's Cray, opened a centre for pupils with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) in Hayne Road, Beckenham, last month.

In two years, it is due to expand from the current intake of 23 pupils in three classes to 45 children. The centre builds on the expertise developed at Riverside School, which has specialist status in cognition and learning and was judged an outstanding school by Ofsted in 2009.
