Festival features everything from candy floss to climbing wall

Samba, snakes, sports and singing were on the menu at Bromley High School’s third annual community festival.

Elderly neighbours and pupils from nearby primary schools joined students, parents and staff for an activity-packed day which featured birds of prey, reptiles, a climbing wall and mechanical rodeo.

For the more sedate, there were stalls and a tasty diet of candy floss, homemade cakes and ice-creams.

Headmistress Angela Drew said: “It was a glorious day.

“The girls loved playing host to their friends and families and it was a privilege to open up our grounds and share the fun with our neighbours in Bickley.”
