Dogs and their owners are being invited to a series of fun days out that encourage responsible dog ownership.

The Dogs Day Out roadshow will be coming to Mottingham Recreation Ground (Foxes Field) at 11am on Saturday June 7.

Entrance is free and there will be children’s rides, refreshment stalls, arena displays and competitions on offer.

There will also be an opportunity for dog owners to get their dogs microchipped by the Dogs Trust free of charge, before it becomes compulsory to microchip them in April 2016.

Rosettes and certificates will be awarded for the best trick, best biscuit catcher, most obedient and the cutest dog.

The Dogs Trust will also be handing out neutering, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment vouchers and offering responsible dog ownership advice.

People interested in having a dog related stall, fundraising or promoting a dog related business can email or call 0300 303 8658. For more information visit
