Emergency work is being carried out in four locations

Emergency repair work to burst water mains in Orpington and Chislehurst are expected to last until the end of the week, the council has announced.

Temporary traffic lights are in place on Royal Parade, near the junction with Bull Lane, in Chislehurst and in Crofton Road near Ormonde Avenue in Orpington following the bursts.

The exact timing for repair work to end at either of the sites is currently unknown.

Engineers are also working on urgent sewer repairs at Towncourt Lane, Petts Wood, with temporary traffic lights also in place.

In Downe, UK Power Networks is carrying out emergency repair works at Luxted Road which are likely to finish this week.

The repair works are unrelated to electricity works which closed the road last week.
