Ready Steady’s Paul Rankin visits Bromley pupils
Celebrity chef Paul Rankin flew in from France to teach pupils how to make crepes on Shrove Tuesday.
The Ready Steady Cook regular visited children at St Mark’s primary school in Aylesbury Road, Bromley, where he demonstrated how to make the perfect pancake.
Year 4 pupil Joel Hircock even got the opportunity to cook alongside him.
The youngster said: “I was so excited to be chosen to cook with a famous chef that works on TV.”
The visit was organised by the school’s lunch providers Sodexo, school cook Denise Street and her staff. It was part of the school’s ‘French Week’.
French teacher Rita Pointer said: “It was absolutely amazing. The children and staff were captivated by Paul’s fun and humorous approach to crepe making.”
