A RACIST group of men who boarded a train and sang abusive songs are being hunted by police.

They got on a service between Clapham Junction and Crystal Palace on May 25 at around 5pm and harassed passengers, leaving some "extremely distressed", according to police. Detective Sergeant Tony Burman said: "The nature of the insults levelled at the passengers in the carriage was despicable.

"Everyone has the right to go to about their business without fear of abuse or threatening behaviour and when that behaviour is further exacerbated by racist undertones, our stance becomes firmer still." Call 0800 405040 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
